Avoiding Use of 'very' before adjective

Using 'very' before every adjective is not a good English. Try to use precise and elegant word for it. Such words are given below. It helps to boost vocabulary. Make use of every new word you come across. Frame your own sentences using the following words.

very able - proficient
Be proficient in teaching English.
very boring - tedious
This film is tedious because there is no song.
very confusing - baffled
I was baffled while solving the problem in physics.
very dirty - filthy
Slum area is filthy.
very easy - effortless
When you practice, you can speak English effortlessly.
very funny - hilarious
Amir Khan plays a hilarious role as PK.
very glad - overjoyed
Children are overjoyed these days as they are flying kites.
very happy - ecstatic
Investors are ecstatic at policies of government.
very interesting - fascinating
3 Idiots is a fascinating film.
very joyful - exuberant
Women are exuberant during Makar Sankranti celebration.
very kind - compassionate
very large - huge
very mad - demented
very nasty - obnoxious
very old - ancient
very painful - excruciating
very quite - hushed
very rude - boorish

very tired - exhausted
very ugly - hideous

Very beautiful - pretty, gorgeous

Very useful - advantageous
