Film Review

Write a review of the film that you have watched. Give details about the film using following supporting points

✅ Title of the film
✅ The star cast
✅ The central idea
✅ The reason you like the film
✅ The message given

Story: Rancho(Amir Khan) , Raju and Farhan enter the best engineering college. They want to learn lessons of life. It cannot be taught through books and classrooms. Principal Viru Sahastrabuddhe is no help at all.He believes in enforcing knowledge and information.

Movie Review:  It is indeed a great movie getting the seetis and taalis. It is a movie reflecting educational system and parental aspirations.
The three idiots, Rancchoddas Shyamaldas Chanchad (Aamir Khan), Raju Rastogi (Sharman Joshi) and Farhan Qureshi (R Madhavan), are perfect revolutionist of the new age Indian. They choose to live life on their own terms. They pave new roads deviating from the rat race. Naturally, they end up heroes taking the road less travelled by.
The film begins with the entry of our threesome in the city's elite engineering college. They face the mandatory ragging sessions. New entrant Ranccho becomes leader . Rancho not only leads his friends through the maze of India's competitive and high-pressure education system but also he tutors them on several life mantras.

So, you have the threesome in a confrontation with authority, as represented through the Viru Sahastrabuddhe (Boman Irani), the unsmiling Principal. He advocates to kill the competition, because there is only one place at the top. Students like Chatur (Omi) end up as duhs in real life and non-conformists (Rancho ), could end up as eventual winners. More importantly, they could be high not only in IQ (intelligence quotient) but in EQ (emotional quotient) too, never losing their humaneness and social networking skills.
The high point of the film is the fact that director Rajkumar Hirani says so much, without losing his sense of humour. The film keeps audience laughing despite being high on fundas. Certain sequences almost have you rolling in the aisle, like the ragging sequence, Omi's chamatkar/balatkar speech, the threesome's wedding crasher sequence, their mournful meal with Raju's mournful mum and Rancho's sundry demos to prove how Kareena has chosen the wrong guy for herself. The second half of the film does falter in parts, specially the child birth sequence.

Amongst the performances, Aamir Khan is stupendous as the rule-breaker Rancho. But the rest of the cast doesn't remain in the shadows. Both Sharman and Madhavan manage to carve their independent characters as lovable rebels too. Even Kareena shines out, despite her short role. A special mention for Boman Irani who is impeccable as `Virus', newcomer Omi who perfectly slips into the stereotype of the best.
Story: Rajkumar Hirani and Abhijat Joshi script a warm and rude education system that prepares rats for a rat race.
Dialogue: Witty and wild, the film walks away with the best comic scene of the year citation with its uproarious `balatkar' speech.

Music: The songs do come alive on screen, specially Zoobie-Doobie and Aal Izz Well.

Choreography: Nice one .

Cinematography: The streets of Delhi and the picture postcard beauty of Ladakh are captured.

Speech by Dr. Prashant Thakre

Prashant Thakre Director Edustation delivered a speech on the occasion of Farewell Party to the students of std 10 at Mahatma Gandhi Vidhyalaya Gadchandur. The speech was motivational and inspiring. With simple and short stories he elaborated the importance of positive attitude, perseverance, confidence, smart work and presence of mind.

Honourable dignitaries on and off the dias, dear students. Happy to know that you are gathered here for farewell. I wish you all to fare well in the coming exam.

Friends, a tiny creature like an ant finds the sugar hidden anywhere in the cupboard.
When such a tiny creature hits the target, how is it impossible for us having a larger brain? Think about it. Be positive. Know your strength and overcome the weaknesses. Learn perseverance from ants and implement it in your life. If you think you can, you can. This attitude has a lion's share in my leading success. You are in the tender age. You should listen to good stories, lectures and speeches. Implement the strategies you learn and ride on success.

Efforts bring opportunities. So make efforts and get along with opportunities with wholeheartedly. Once an educational institution published an advertisement wanting a swimming teacher. Naturally the required qualifications as we guess, was the candidate should know swimming and be a swimmer. One unemployed youth wanted to make efforts. He sent an application to the institute. But he could not swim. So he bought books on swimming and studied the books. He got an interview call. He reached the institute. He met with nine other candidates who were swimmers and had applied for the post. The interview began and one by one the candidates were interviewed. Since the other nine candidates were swimmers, they did not read books on swimming. In the interview they failed to answer the question regarding swimming. The youth who had read books excelled in the interview. Selection committee believes in questioning. The youth made efforts of sending an application and got the opportunity of facing interview. He got the job of swimming teacher though he was not a swimmer. He was determined to make efforts. He went to the classroom. He had to teach swimming. It was ordeal for him. He did not give up though he did not know swimming. He was afraid of entering into the water. But he tried to tackle the problem. In his first lecture, he asked how many of them could swim. Six students raised hands. He took them to swimming tank. He asked them to show their swimming skills. He found them that three of them were good at swimming. He asked the trio to help other three. Then those six students were instructed to train other non swimmer. He just kept on instructing. In a period of 30 days all the thirty students became good swimmer. Seeing this the Headmaster of the school got impressed. The governing body of the school decided to honour the teacher for his commendable job. They decided honor him at the swimming tank. He got afraid. But he remained cool. The day of honour came. All guests, teachers and students gathered near the swimming tank. He was also there near the tank. Students were overjoyed as their teacher was being honoured. In the mean time the swimming teacher fell into the swimming tank. We knew that he could not swim. He started crying for help. The students dived and saved him. He was frightened. Students brought out water from his body. He was still frightened. He thought the reality came to fore. They would fire him. After a short while the program of his honour resumed. He made his mind to leave the job. He was damn sure that he would be sacked with insult. All the dignitaries gathered for the honor ceremony. The managing director stood to speak about him. While speaking about him, he stated that the teacher was not only a good swimmer but also a good actor. To teach the last lesson of saving the drowning one he acted skillfully as if he was drowning. His efforts brought him job, praise and honour.
As a student we should do smart work instead of hard work. You should apply smart ways to study. Do you know difference between smart work and hard work? A soap manufacturing company in Japan received complaints regarding empty boxes of soap. The company prepared a robot scanner to resolve the problem. The robot scanner would scan whether the container had soap cake or not. It would sorted out empty and filled containers. The problem was solved at the cost of high expenses and time. The similar problem emerged in Russia. The Russian campany bought the robot paying huge amount. Indian company worked smartly by putting a table fan near the rolling belt. The fan blew the empty container and the filled containers would pass.

Speech Bites of Makrand Anaspure

The noted Marathi film star Makarand Anaspure addressed the students in a prize distribution ceremony as a part of Golden Jubilee Celebration of Gadchandur Shikshan Prasarak Mandal Gadchandur and its offspring Mahatma Gandhi Vidyalay and Jr College Gadchandur . In his comic edge speech he enthralled the audience with his narrative, comic style. He threw light on different aspects of life of students and general public.
While speaking about tree plantation, he held the view that if we plant the trees as much as we place the placard of ‘झाड़े लावा, झाड़े जगवा’ there will be greenery. Unfortunately the placards also are made of woods which we forget.
He urged girl students to pledge not to marry a person demanding dowry. He also asked the parents not to give and take dowry. He strongly opposed the exchanging sarees in wedding ceremony. No woman wears a saree received in such ceremony . It can save thousands of rupees of a bride's father. We need to hold mass marriages and avoid the unnecessary expense . It is not easy to make people understand when they are not ready to understand. Once a man got two passes of football match . He asked his friend to come along with him. His friend hesited to go to watch the football match and since he does not know anything about  it. The man insisted and offered him eatables . So they went to the football ground. Since the match hadn't been started , the man tried to make him understand the game. He said, "ते जे दोन चौकोन दिसत  आहे त्याला गोल म्हणतात ." With a loud laugh he rebuked not to fool him. The man said  "जेव्हा ball आत जातो तेव्हा गोल होतो  "  Don't fool me I know the ball is already round in shape . On many occasion we encounter such persons . He kept on storytelling . He pointed out the idealistic approach of Lal Bahadur Shastri. As the prime Minister of India his salary was ₹ 60 . Once his friend came asking for help as his wife was admitted in hospital. Shastriji explain his inability to help him. But at that time Shastrji's wife extended helping hand. Shashtriji asked her where she got money from . She stated that she saved ₹10 every month from the salary. Next day Shastriji wrote PMO to make his payment ₹ 50 .

He suggested students and teachers reading of books. Books are the most important part of life. He suggested three books of Achute Godbole, Wadekar and John Washington to be read once in a life. Learning is not just the activity but it is the process. Learning through books and experiences should be aimed at. He asserted that there is no short cut in life. He took 13 years to settle in the film industry. He is not surprised for taking such a long time. He narrated an incident from his life. Once he was in posh hotel. He went to drink water. He saw people held a glass under tap and got water. He did the same but he did not get water. He tried to push and turn the tap in vain. To hide his clumsiness he feigned having drunk water. While moving his leg stamped on the push button, he saw water flowing of the tap. After half an hour he learned how to get water.

Dr. Abhay Bang : Be Service Oriented

Dr. Abhay Bang delivered speech in a programme Arambh organised by Gadchandurcha Raja Public Trust at Mahatma Gandhi Vidhyalaya and Jr. College Gadchandur.
There was a time when middle class youth would get education through 'madhukari' ( kind of begging for food). Now there is a complete change. Education has free and compulsory. Still that education has some lapses. Jobs are dream of educated. Youth is the power of India. Some decades ago American mother would feed their children by showing the fear of Indian hungry children. She would say, "Finish the food or hungry Indian child will come and eat your food." Now the American parents tell their children get education or Indians will come and take away your jobs. Today 2.5 crore youth are in queue for jobs. They are searching for carrier. They are in search of success key.
What is Competition?

Today's competition is a cut throat competition. Giving friends in the claw of tiger. Success is measured by the other's success. In scholastic exam if a child gets 90% parents are not satisfied unless they know he is the highest in the class. Ironically they are satisfied at 85% if it is the highest.
At the very young age companions are needed. The boy needs girl's company. The girl needs boy's company. Here they distract from their goal. They need communication. They spend their most of the time in chatting with friends. Another reason for deviation from the goal. So the youth remain aimless. On the other hand 80% youth is jobless. Those who get the jobs are lack of required skills for the jobs.
Almost 5 lakhs students are preparing for MPSC with no aim, no technique of study. The Posts are 300 for a year. Similar case is with UPSC with no dreams. There is a dire situation in job finding . PhD holder hopes to get petty jobs. To live a life there should be purticular hope, purpose. To live for what. Change the way you live. Purpose of life should be defined . Destination of life should be decided . At the age of 13 and 16 Bang brothers decided to improve agriculture and health of villages in India. Dr. Abhay Bang was destined to be a doctor. A dream for a life is enough.
He cited Akbar - Birbal story of finding foolish. Birbal found the man searching for his ring not where it was lost but where it was moonlight. Educated search the ring where there is facilities not where there is problems. He advised youth to go where the problems are. Find the satisfaction. Lots of problems are there in villages. Face the problems. Find out ways of life. Opportunities are there where problems exist. Facing the challenges unsuccessful lawyers Mohandas Karam hand Gandhi became Mahatma. Life and youth has no reverse back. Serve to the patient where there are.
Be service oriented instead of career oriented.

Inspiring Speech of Shekhar Deshmukh DYSP

Hon. Shekhar Deshmukh DYSP RAJURA addressed the students at NSS camp organised by Mahatma Gandhi Jr college Gadchandur at Lakhmapur. His speech was so inspiring and motivating that I noted down some bits of his speech. Here I would like share......

Leader is the one who knows the way, shows the way and goes the way. Develop the personality at the early stage. Inculcate the habit of good manners. Students should participate in debate, elocution and essay contest. Soft skills development is necessary. It can be achieved with dedication. Don't dig the well when you are thirsty. Be ready for the future necessity. Marks are not important. Develop leadership. Read. Think. Opine. Read Krishnakath by Yashwatrao Chavahan. Students should develop positive attitude. Likewise Nepolean Bonapart they should create trust in themselves. Nepolean Bonapart formed his army picking up commen men. Seeing such average people ready with arms British army men boast of their rich heritage of army descending from their grandparents. To encourage his army Nepolean addressed, "They got the heritage. You have to create the heritage." Dedication in competive exams is key to success. Devote your time for study in such a way that you will not see the sun for some days. Make a habit of getting up before the sun rise, start studying up to the sun set. Be your own guide if you don't find the right path . Don't seek for guidance always. Because you may be the first one to walk on that path. Experience is the most expensive teacher. So learn from the mistakes made by others. We learn from the success stories as well as from the stories of failures. Don't underestimate yourself. Success doesn't know the difference between urban and rural, male and female, poor and rich, educated and uneducated family background.

Should E-learning Replace Teachers?

E- Learning Technology Substitute For Teachers.

1. No wait for a teacher to get back to you to clear your doubts.
2. E- learning is not time bound and place bound.
3. We need not wait to begin learning until the start of the semester.
4. A person sitting in a remote place can learn anything the world offers.
5. Students belonging to different countries can learn the courses offered from a country they cannot afford to go to.

E-learning is the means not the end.
Teacher's place is like a pole star.

E-learning is made easy because they are a set of learned educators and teachers. They work together to put in the information required and organize things such that the person on the other end gets a hassle-free lesson .
You may think that you will be able to completely rely on technology to get the answers for all your questions. But the truth is that you will still require a teacher to take you through the right path. At times, technology may not give the right answer. Instead you will be led into a loop. Everything you get as an answer is not relevant. In such cases one requires a teacher who has done intensive study and research on the subject.
Also, a system may crash any time. You cannot 100 percent rely on something that is virtual. E-learning is a 'virtual' learning process. Just imagine, actually you are interacting with 'nobody ' but only a programmed machine. It is incomplete if there is no teacher to update the data or guide you or answer your queries . Nothing can take over human intelligence. The teachers share knowledge without hesitating. No technology or man-made robot can ever replace the "old reliable teacher". Teacher is just a call away, to answer you, guide you and to help you out and most importantly, be your motivator.

Apostrophe : Punctuation Mark

.

The apostrophe (')is a punctuation mark . It is used for two purposes.

1.To show that one or more letters have been missed out
When we are speaking we frequently skip certain sounds, running parts of a word together. For example did not becomes didn’t. When these words are written down, an apostrophe is used to show that letters have been missed out.

I will- I’ll
I shall- I’ll
I am- I’m
will not- won't
shall not- shan't
I would- I’d
I had- I’d
What is- what’s
What was- what’s
I have- I’ve
she is- she's
What is - what’s
they are- they're

who is - who’s

He is - he’s

As the examples show, the way in which some of these shortened forms are written down is rather selective. It works well when 'is' and 'are' are shortened, but in the case of 'won't' and 'shan't', the apostrophe does not show where all the letters have been omitted; otherwise we would write sha'n't, and no rule can cover the change from will not to won 't.

2.To show possession
We also use the apostrophe to show that something belongs to someone. For example: Lord Rochester's monkey the girl's handbag the Browns' SilverWedding anniversary several churches' position on gay priests
As these examples show, the rule is that if the name or noun is in the singular, we add an apostrophe followed by the letter 's'. If the name or noun is a plural ending in 's' then we simply add an apostrophe. (Plurals that do not end in 's' follow the rule for singular nouns: a children's playground.)
Exception
There is one exception to the rule. When its means 'of it' there is no apostrophe. This commonly causes problems. The rule is:
it's = it is and its-of it

Banks :a plural form of bank but
bank’s (employees,): 1. Of bank Possessive case
2. Bank is

In letters apostrophe is often missused in 'Yours faithfully as your's which is wrong. Simply 'yours' is correct.

What is your mother's name?
What is your sister's name? But
What are your sisters' names?

To,

Mumbai-o4

   Sir,
I humbly bring your attention to the problem we are facing since long. The road mishaps in Goregaon East area have become a grave problem for us. Due to the worst street, uncovered manholes, potholes, encroachment along the road side and ever increasing traffic, the area has become a death trap.
Despite several appeals the concerning authorities have turned a deaf ear. Diversion of traffic through other road will avoid the accidents.

Kindly publish this letter in your esteem newspaper and oblige us.

                                                           Yours truly,
                                                           X. Y. Zed .

Tips Regarding Moving to Abroad

#DefinitelyPTE

1. Packing
It is the most important thing prior to journey.
Do your packing as per the season. If it is winter, do packing according to that. If summer , take your regular winter wearppp with you. Always take umbrella with you because you can use it in both seasons i.e for summer and rainy.
Even though you are non-vegetarian and you can eat anything , carry some long lasting food item like pickel . It will definitely help you sometime if your tour is of more than a month.
1. Local currency;
Whenever you go to abroad, convert some of your money to local currency well in time. Get familiar with that currency to avoid fumbling. Remember, you have to pay for taxi or local transport in their currency only.
Please check your Debit/Credit card is of valid for international transaction. If not get it one from your bank. The bank charges you for transaction but those charges are nominal.
2. Immigration/customs;
If you are travelling for first time you get nervous regarding the procedure to travel abroad such as Visa applications, immigraton, customs. No need to worry about those all , if you have a clean record.
Read all the requirements for VISA application carefully.
Immigration is a little tedious and time consuming procedure as there is long queue at each immigration counter. Be ready with your planning of moving to abroad because they ask some questions regarding you tour dates and what you are going to do abroad.
3. Luggage and Bags
As there is limitation in carrying the luggage in airplane. You can not carry more than 32Kg including weight of bag.
So do weigh your bag at home or local shop before going to travel so you can be safe, if your bag weigh more than 32 kg they tell you to remove some stuff from your bag. So at that time it is very difficult to manage your luggage or you have to leave those thing there itself and airport authorities /airlines don’t take any responsibilty of that.
Always ask for the receipt of your luggage, that will be your proof if you loose your luggage.
Take photo of all of your boarding passses, luggage receipt and ticket for saftey purpose.
Don’t carry any banned material in your cabin bag, such as Perfume, lighter, alcohol, nailcutter, etc. Security check can catch you for that and then you may have to face several questions.
Always check all of your belongings after security check don’t forget anything at security check
4. Boarding Passes and seat reservation.
Some airlines provide you choice to select your seat in flight. You can do that online 2 to 3 days before your journey date.
So please reserve your favourite seat as early as possible to make your journey more pleasent.
Take your boarding pass online if airline is providing that facility, otherwise you have to take it from the counter at the airport.
Please do reach at airport at least 2 hours before the time, because somtimes the procedure may take time and you may miss the flight.
5. Journey in flight.
Please book the ticket as per journey time. if your journey is long then kindly reserve or ask for side seat instead of window and middle seat, because you don’t have to excuse others if you sits on side seat for things like going for whashroom etc.
Please ask for favour to flight attendants/Airhostes if you don’t know how to switch on TV, connect headphones, or if you want your cabin bag from the shelf.
6. Arrival in new country.
Please make sure that you have your all belongings with you before leaving the plane.
After arriving at airport go to procedure like immigration, luggage collection. If by mistake you loose your luggage kindly inform to luggage authority and show your boarding pass and your luggage receipt. They will fill PIR(Property Irregularity Report) and will provide you a copy of that.
please refer to the terms and conditions after that apply for your claim.
7. Living in another country
Living in antoher country is not that difficult.
Only you have to search for shops and resorts where you can get the things of your interest.
Always be in contact with your family members. You have to learn some do's and dont's from their culture in order to be safe.
In Non-English country you will face communication problem everywhere if you don’t know their language.
Always try to learn something from their culture it will create some bonding between the people you meet and you.
Don’t get angry at any cost . You may land up in trouble.
Always take care of your health because if you fall ill then there will be loss of your health, money and most importantly time. So always do care of your health if you are living abroad.
